Our Invitation

To all who are weary and need to rest;  to all who are lonely and want friendship;  to all who mourn and need comfort;  to all who sin and need a Savior;  and to all whosoever will--this Church opens wide the door and says,

"In the name of the Lord Jesus, WELCOME!"

We're excited to announce we are now having services in our own Fellowship Hall at 100 W. Bridge Street!

Please join us!

9:15 - Singing
9:45 - Sunday School (children and youth in the Freeman House; adults in Fellowship Hall)
10:30 - Fellowship
11:00 - Worship  (Nursery in the Freeman House)

The paved parking lot can be used, as well as the newly graveled lot behind the former sanctuary. Please stay on the gravel for safety. There is also a new walkway between the Fellowship Hall and the Freeman House.

Friends,

The tornado that hit Wetumpka on January 19th flattened the sanctuary and East wing of the church and tore off the back corner of our house. Stanton was home but escaped unscathed. No one else was home. We are okay. We do not need anything at the moment other than prayers. We are so blessed to live in the caring community we live in. Love your peeps. That’s all that really matters.

Rev. Jonathan Yarboro

The family of First Presbyterian Church (FPC) of Wetumpka would like to express deep gratitude to our sisters and brothers of our Presbytery and community. The outpouring of love, support, and offers of assistance has been astounding. God’s blessings indeed overflow.

We have begun the claim process with The Insurance Board. They are outstanding. We are covered for full replacement of our historic sanctuary and all other buildings. The short of it is that we will not need a rebuilding fund.

I would like to make a personal request to everyone who has asked for specific ways of helping. If you or your church wants to help FPC Wetumpka in a financial way, please consider one of the following 2 options.

1. Give to the Presbyterian Disaster Assisstance (PDA) fund for our community. You can give directly to PDA, through Presbytery, or through FPC Wetumpka.

2. Give to Living River. FPC Wetumpka has pledged $100,000 for a pool at Living River. That pledge is contingent on securing the remaining funds for that project from other sources.

Peace,

Jonathan
